Hart striking Out?

No news is a good thing. If a currently-employed coach has genuine interest in the UT job, he will withdraw his name if outed. Chillax and let your AD do the work.

:banghead2:
Let's get real here.....would you want to work for Hart and Cheek!!
It would have to be someone on the Up and Comin List from a small school.....

Because he was the top 5 coach in the SEC during the 3 years he was here. Proved his recruiting ability by getting Stokes and Hubbs and certainly overall did better than most UT coaches from the past (had higher winning % in his 3 years than even CBP had in his last 3). Also, how many UT bb coaches made the sweet 16 at all?

Good point you've brought up...so Calipari,Donovan,Frank Martin...Stallings?...then Cuonzo...yep...5 right there ....now that you look at the names?....:ermm:...really that big an accomplishment?...just sayin :glare:

So did Hart get White or not.... ?

Sounds like back end buyout money is a problem. White wants a Dooley buyout and Hart doesn't want to put us in financial risk.

He most likely feels good about Tyndall or whoever his #2 option is and is playing hard ball with White because he is perfectly fine with his next option if this doesn't work out.

Interesting. Hope we can get one of them soon. Who do you prefer between White and Tyndall?

Ok Hart maybe striking out now since he started with White and not work his way down to him. UTC coach is officially on the board.

So it appears indeed we were right to worry. It appears that Hart did strike out with "A-list candidates." After he failed to get any of them, he went to White at La Tech with no NCAA appearances. Now according to CBS he has "struck out" again as White has shunned our offer.

I am sorry but how is this not "striking out"?

Ths article references these issues regarding the A list candidates and White.Discussions cool between Tennessee and Louisiana Tech's Michael White - CBSSports.com

I don't think he even tried for any A-list candidates.

You are dead wrong on CBP's last three years compared to CCM's three years.....

In CBP's last three years he was a combined 68 and 37 for a 64% winning clip.

However CCM's was a combined 63 and 41 for only a 60% winning clip.

Oh and CBP made the Elite 8 and three Sweet 16's.

His teams finished top 5 in SEC in his 3 years at UT so not very complicated math required to put him on that list. My personal opinion is that only Donovan and Calipari are better current SEC coaches than CCM.

I'm not arguing that CBP was overall much more accomplished. I did not personally compute the CBP vs CCM percentages myself - I read that comparison of CBP's last 3 years vs CCM's first 3 somewhere recently (after CCM left I think espn had article that mentioned that comparison). Anyhow, I concede CBP (who I love) was overall more accomplished than CCM but asked for a list of some other former UT coaches who did better that CCM while at UT. Still waiting for those names ...
