I started this series in like 2nd grade and like it then, but as I grew older, I started to care less and the movies bored me...

But, when I start a series, I must know the ending, so I will read this and then push it to the back of my mind.

Yep. my wife got me hooked right after the 4th movie--I then went back and read all the books to date.

I am worried, though, that the 5th movie is going to suck. "Order" is my Least favorite of the books, and that's a LOT of detail to try to pack into a movie.

that being said, I'll be there with bells on the weekend it opens, and there are not one, but TWO copies of book 7 on pre-order from Amazon (I'll be Damned if my wife gets to read it before me--same time, man....same time!!!)

The books are far better than the movies. The problem with me, though, is that there's so much crap going on in each of the novels that i forget most of what i read within a year or so.

I personally love the books .... I think they are a great read. I didn't read the first few books untill they had been out for a few years..but quickly caught up.

I enjoy the movies as well...but a book is often more fun...you can make it last longer!!

Not a big fan, but I will watch the movies just because once I watch one I have to watch the rest......anyway, I hate reading.:)

never got into Harry Pooter and his "magical" powers

I always thought that would be a great title for a spoof porn. Although, with what the title implies about the subject matter, I don't think I would want to see it.

ya that could be gross and a better title for the type of movie you are referring to would be Hairy Peter

That is NOT what I was referring to. Pooter is a silly slang for a part of the anatomy that I like on a female. The hairy part...not so much. I will refrain from further explanation since this is a family board.

Did anyone see the HBO series "Extras" when the kid who plays Harry was a guest? Pretty funny stuff.
