Curious. Would you have the same take if they casted a white man for a well known black role? Or is it just “the whites?”

In any case, I think it would only bother me if it changed something meaningful about the character. Like a Django Unchained remake with Chalamet as Django wouldn't make a ton of sense.

Whites still have plenty of representation and some of us are incredibly sensitive about it. It's weird

but you'll watch a series of movies then seasons of a tv show based on children's books instead?

Yeah, of course, with my wife and kids who like this stuff.

I might even read it to my kids someday. I will never consume Harry Potter media by myself, lol.

LOL, what? Is it more fun reading children books to yourself as a 50 YO man?

I write novels, blood. I don't read children's books. I also don't watch shows based on them. In fact other than the Prisoner of Azkaban I really didn't care much for the movies. In fact, back it up and you may see what my original point was.
