If there’s anything remotely positive from last week, recruits saw a vibrant atmosphere and also saw they’ve got a chance to come in and play early...good selling point, for sure, but this is about the last season Pruitt can sell the rebuilding card early in his tenure.
Pruitt can't sell crap if he's fired. Wonder if Bailey is still solid if we fire Pruitt before he gets on campus?
I don't think we keep Bailey and the group of guys he is tight with if we fire Pruitt. I also don't think there is any guarantee that we upgrade the staff if we fire Pruitt just based on spending experience on coaches. Outside of firing Will Friend, we can't upgrade the staff any more than what we have now.
Bailey knows what is up.
Are you high?? The boosters will let him stick around with 1-11 or 2-10???? Your crazier then a psychotic woman in a nuthouse....
He starts day 1 , that has to be the only reason he is solid/ Just hope they can hold on to him....sorry if this has already been posted.
VolQuest - Harrison Bailey solid, focused on making sure 2020 class 'stays together'
He sounds like a Kodiak. We need more Kodiak and Grizzly recruits! He starts day 1 , that has to be the only reason he is solid/ Just hope they can hold on to him....sorry if this has already been posted.

You really think if we go 3-9 he still comes? I don't
LOL....it’s good to have you assurances about the class. He will be at Tennessee as long Pruitt is the coach. He will also keep the class the together if Pruitt is the coach.
Firing Pruitt loses Bailey and the chunk of committed guys that are all tight with each other.
Not saying you hire or fire your coach based on one recruit, but Bailey is more than one recruit as he is the glue to a lot of guys' commitments to Tennessee.

The only two with a chance of starting next year are JG and Bailey. Either Bailey is a TL type talent and starts or JG keeps the job.I don't know if Bailey starts Day 1, but one thing is for sure; if JG keeps playing like this, we'll have a real QB competition for 2020. It will be very interesting.
Kasim Hill. Dual threat type QB with experience, but inaccurate passer at Maryland.
JT Shrout. Gunslinger with probably the strongest arm on the team, but also had accuracy issues in high school. Can he get those issues fixed and become the NFL-type QB that a lot of scouts have been drooling over? We'll see.
Brian Maurer. Played for a terrible team in high school (went 2-8 last season), but led a prolific offense, and was almost a 1-man show. Good arm, good scrambler. Very underrated by the recruiting services.
Harrison Bailey. Strong arm, accurate QB. Will be the youngest, but could be the best of the bunch.
The crazy thing is that all 4 (plus JG) have a shot at starting next year. If Bailey were not a true Freshman, I'd say he would be the odds-on favorite; and he might still be. But I think with a year of development under his belt, Maurer will be much better; sort of like how Season 2 Josh Dobbs was much better than Season 1 Josh Dobbs. And while everyone will count out JG, I wouldn't say it's a done-deal, but he's going to have to start playing much better than he did versus BYU, or there's no real argument for keeping him as starter.
If I were a betting man, I do think Bailey is the favorite in 2020, but only slightly so.
Once again, Bailey and a few guys have been quite clear on their intentions. And it is clear that they are more in touch with the staff and program than any fan from a message board. Regardless of their own experiences with recruiting with some program/coach that isn't currently at Tennessee.
Yes, it is that simple.
