the single digit point differential is encouraging but i'm amazed anyone would expect 27 pts at florida with our qb play...

The only way we score 27 is if Florida scores 60 and we just get the ball that many times.

i can see that...if florida pulls tebow early for some reason and eric berry returns 3 ints for touchdowns and then we kick 2 field goals

hie's only giving florida 36.....perhaps harmon assumes the score to be 36-0 in the first quarter and all starters are pulled for the rest of the game..

That would be almost as good as a loss for UF. Can you imagine how mad they would be if they only won by nine?

It would also be a big victory for us.
It would mean that crompton did well, boost his confidence, and result in an overall better season. Because we all know that Crompton's problem is mental.

Harmon is a golf coach--what does he know about football----he he

Sounds like SOMEOME is begging for money on Tennessee.
Thing is, if we lose by 9, I will be just as po'd, cause we probably shoulda won---

Crompton would have to play the best game of his life and get some breaks.

If it happened though it would be a recruiting boon to Kiffin and Company. In fact, they can probably use it in recruiting if they manage to stay closer than the spread.

When I first saw that, i said typo. UT wont sniff 27 points.

but I don't think CUM will be happy with 36 either. I bet they go for a minimum of 50, and they might not stop there.

But I also say Bring it on and do your worst while you can. We can take anything you can dish out and we will be returning the favor soon.

I know its wishful thinking, but i'd love for it to get into a situation where Florida is trying to force it run up the score. That would be a mistake i'd love for them to make. I think our offense gives them at least 14 points on there own.

In reality, the best shot UT has of being this close is if UF's D is vastly overrated and UCLA's is vastly underrated.

As a die hard Gator Fan, most of us realize that a Win is a Win...by 1 point or 50, we will NOT be dissapointed in the final score as long as UF has more points at 00:00.

well one out of two could be right. I seriously doubt a NC defense that returns 11 starters is over rated but UCLA might be under rated but I doubt it.

Totally disagree... Anything less than a 20-point differential will not be "perceived" well by the rest of the country. That includes pollsters and recruits. "Perception" is truth to most people.

Florida is in a tough situation this weekend insofar as 'public relations' and public perception. But, that perception was built by Florida. That's what you get when you continually pile-on the score, game after game, year after year.

UT needs to establish the run to be successful. With a 265 lb walk-on center you guys are going to need to run the toss more than trying to run up the middle. Against UCLA, UT only had 115 rushing yards. That won't cut it. UT needs more success than that.

UF arguably has one of the best secondaries in the SEC / Nation. With Crompton being less than stellar it will be ABSOLUTELY necessary for the run game to be working. I don't think the UT staff has the confidence in Crompton to win this game with his arm.

Can UT win? Absolutely. Anything can happen? Is it an uphill battle? 100%.

Do I think UT scores 27? I don't think it's likely. I do believe UF will be held to about 35 points though.

Just my opinion.

You're nuts if you think Meyer would even consider pulling his starters early in this game. He's going to try to teach CLK a lesson.

The battle of the lines will be the key. If Florida plays all day in the backfield like UCLA did it is going to be a long day! If we can run the ball eat clock and keep the time of possession on the positive and 0 I mean 0 turnovers it will be a tight game in the 4th quarter then who knows!
