Here is how I would rank the Sr. RBs:
Spiller - Clemson
Hardesty - Tennessee
Gerhart - Stanford
Blount - Oregon
Tate - Auburn
Scott - LSU

Here is how I rank top Jr. RBs who might come out:
Best - Cal
Murray - Oklahoma
Dwyer - Ga Tech
Devine - West Virginia

I see Hardesty the 4th RB taken (behind Spiller, Best, and Murray) in early 2nd round. Of course, all this could change based on bowl games, combines, etc.

Thoughts?

I think some scouts might be wary of his knee problems. Kiffin has said this year that his knee has bothered him at different times.

I think he will get drafted first round! Hardesty is having a great year with an average offensive line. We start a converted TE to tackle thats a freshman (Aaron Douglas) and two walks (Sullin twins).

I'm gonna say Hardesty has to be a little higher based on the OL he runs behind. Murray has an inexperienced OL also, but no former walk ons. I have to admit though I have a huge mancrush on Gerhart.

How great would it be if he was drafted 1st round?

I just hope the Texans do not draft him. I cannot stand the Texans, and honestly, I really do not want Tennessee players helping them. I know this is immature

Great frame, deceptive speed, amazing cuts, good hands, no fumbles.

Great point; that's probably where HARDESTy is the most underrated. You never really hear people talk about HARDESTy's ball security, but he NEVER fumbles. I really can't recall any times this entire year where he's fumbled. Does anyone know for sure if he fumbled this year or not?

He fumbled on a reception in the flats against WKU. No fumbles this year on carries.

With this season behind him and a good combine he'll go 2nd day.

The first round will be in primetime on friday night.

I could see him getting dropped a little because of his knee problems, but I think he erased some of that by being a workhorse all season. He didn't miss a game the entire season running behind a makeshift OL in the most punishing conference in the nation. That's got to help some of his durability concerns.

No way hardesty is above gerhart right now.

I would love for him to go in the first but I dont see that happening. As posted earlier his past knee problems will affect his draft status. He is a monster and I would love for the Titans to get him. That kid from Miss. State (Dixon I believe) is also good.

I don't think he would ever see the field if the Titans drafted him. I could be wrong, but Jeff Fisher is a USC guy, and I don't know if he would put Hardesty in the 2 deep over Lendale.

Lendale won't even be on the Titans next year.

Hardesty will make a solid NFL back.

If he has a great combine then he could knock on the door of the 1st round

I think after Hardesty's rookie year, there will be a lot of NFL teams kicking themselves for passing on him. Most RB's today aren't half as tough as Montario, and absolutely no one puts forth more effort than he does. He runs downhill, very seldom loses yardage, and stays out of trouble on and off the field. He's also above-average in pass protection, which is big in basically every NFL offense. I could see the Colts taking him IF they didn't take Donald Brown out of UCONN last year. Wherever Hardesty goes, I'll be following him closely. Montario deserves to have all UT fans continue pulling for him in the NFL. Very few have given their all to UT like Montario has.
