The cocks showed against Alabama that they are afraid to hit a physical running back, especially their secondary. Ingram looked like he was playing against a bunch of middle schoolers. I look for Hardesy to run wild.

Run defense is definetly their soft spot. They are # 3 in the nation in pass defense but # 70 in run defense giving up 147 yards per game on the ground.

Speaking of Run defense...next week's game vs Memphis...they are # 104 vs the run.

Agree. I have confidence in Crompton once the running game opens up some passing lanes too.

It would be great if Hardesty has a better game against SC than Ingram did.

Our running game should definitely set up some nice play fakes and also keep their pass rush slowed down. Key is gotta get that run game established.

Ingram gained 246 rushing yards against SC. This many for Hardesty would put him within 40 Yards of Ingram on the season. I am not crossing my fingers but that would be cool.

I dont know man. Hardesty has shown some break away ability this season. 2 or 3 60yard scampers and he might be there. But I'm not holding my breath either.

Yes, I think he is absolutely capable. Where ingram really put it to SC was his toughness. I would dare to say Hardesty is tougher.

he has had 143 carries for 720 yards (avg 5yards per carry) thats not even close to Ingram.

our back Miles has had 78 carries for 410 yards (avg 5.3 per carry)

Miles is averaging less than 10 carries per game. That ought to tell you something:

1. He really is good but the coaches are choosing other options (bad coaching)
2. He's a situation runner and the ypc avg is the result of using him sparingly (using him more will drop his average).

We aren't anywhere close to being scared to hit a physical back. I anything we try to knock people out too much and don't wrap up. Yea we allowed Ingram to run wild all over us, but Hardest isn't Mark Ingram either.

He wasn't healthy inthe first part of the season which was about 3 games and the last 5 his average is about 15 carries per game. He didn't play at all in the first two, got 5 carries in the 3rd game and since then has gotten atleast 10 in every game and has an average of 5.3 ypc on the season. Pretty good if u ask me. Plus it's not like we have 5 good rbs. That's a big reason why he's not getting 25 carries a game which in the end is better for us because of the fresh legs.

So, the reason your best running back is getting less carries is because you don't have anyone better? Most people would think that this would cause him to get more carries.

We do have ppl that are just as good. I def think miles is our best back and the others can compliment him well like Giles. I wish they'd give Bryce the ball more.

UT has 2 walk-ons, and a TE starting on the O-line.
"IF" we had Peyton Manning at QB UT would win by a 100.
We'll play with the playes we have and take our chances
