One Tennessee player appears out.

Two new Vols are in.

According to the latest roster for Saturday’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., UT running back Montario Hardesty will no longer participate in the showcase game for pro scouts, but left tackle Chris Scott and deep-snapper Morgan Cox have been added for the game.

Scott’s invitation is particularly surprising since he just played last week in the Shrine Bowl, where he struggled at times and reinforced a belief from some talent evaluators that he would be better suited to play guard at the next level. Cox also qualifies as an interesting choice, though he has held the snapping job on special teams for UT for the last three years.

No information was available from UT on the reason behind Hardesty.

WTH? Does anyone know if he is injured or just wasn't invited?

Wes Rucker says its a minor health issue that isn't serious.

So I don't think its an injury.

Draft stock is going to fall some =(

If he can put together a good combine it will be alright for him, he will get a chance to prove himself, if he runs with as much heart and determination as he did for us he will be alright.

One bright spot: Cody won't be going over the top of Cox since they will be on the same team.

Personally, I don't thing the Senior bowl affects draft position nearly as much as the combine. As long as he posts a good 40 time and impresses them physically (and mentally), he'll do fine.

Would love to see him drafted early - I have high expectations for him at the next level.
