Hardesty to Browns

Hardesty had a bum ankle and shoulder in 08. He led the team in rushing TDs though.

I remember he had some injuries JG but don't you remember the game where Fulmer didn't even realize he didn't get in the game and actually admitted to it? I don't think Hardesty was injured at the time. That entire season was a nightmare now that I think about it.

I glad MH got drafted in the 2nd round (decent payday)...but it sucks he will be a part of that graveyard in Cleveland...same fate Berry faces in Kansas City...but I'm proud of our boys.

I hate that he went to Cleveland. They haven't had a good year-in-year-out starter in like a decade (you could make a small argument for the two decent years Jamal Lewis put in, but he was clearly on the downside of his career).

I was really hoping he would go two picks later to the Jets. THAT would have been a great fit.

Either way, it's Montario Hardesty, all Vol, Good luck in the pros.

And here is what Phil had to say. Once again showing he is clueless.

Whatever Phil. You are just trying to cover your ignorance as usual. I still remember Hardesty not even getting in the game when Foster was there and Phil was dumb enough to admit he didn't even realize Hardesty didn't play any that game. Good Lord! Hardesty was healthy at the time and should have been getting at least an equal amount of carries as Foster. I'm so glad Phil is gone!

I remember a certain game against UCLA MH was killing we get inside the 10 and look who comes in fumble foster smh MH keeps playing that game we win

He could be the starter next season. At the least he will share carries with Harrison. Its a great oppurtunity for Hardesty.

That's the only positive I see as far as where he got drafted. Cleveland is an awful situation, but he should get decent PT. Hell, even Foster played well when he started for Houston at the end of the season

Being here in Bungals country, at least I will get to watch him a couple times when they play the Browns. I like the direction that Holmgren is taking the Browns. Still think it will take 2-3 years to get them to a playoff situation. But I am glad to see that our Vols are doing well in getting drafted.

If McCoy pans out and Hardesty stays healthy, the Browns might just have something to look forward to. Congrats to him. I will never forget the long TD against Cal in 2006 where it looked like he was stopped by a wall of defenders and somehow he got loose to score. That play and the spin move against South Carolina and the overtime TD against Kentucky are great memories.

I bet if you had asked Hardesty two years ago he would have jumped all over an offer by the Browns. Holmgren will turn them around... and Montario can go to the bank! Go Vols!

Definitely glad to see him go in the 2nd round....not so glad that he went to the Browns...however he should get a good chance at early playing time....he was one of my favorite players last year

:hi:

MH = excellent, tough player. IMO, he was the key cog in UT's offense in 2009.

Congrats & best of luck to him and the rest of the NFL-bound Vols.

Hardesty would have been a 1st-rounder had he not had the injuries.

Man why all the hate on the Browns? Smh. Holmgren going to turn it around. And feel bad for Montario? He went to one of the craziest football towns and is making dough. So many of you were probably feeling sorry for Peyton when he went to Colts LOL.

Oh if only the Browns had drafted Berry too. Hardesty, Berry, and McCoy (who I personally like)....that would have made me a Browns fan.

And doesn't Jamal Lewis still play for them? I don't know if he officially retired or not. But it'd be awesome to have 2 UT guys on the roster.

I think Hardesty will have a Pro Bowl under his belt at some point in his career...I think he is the real deal.
