Hardest ticket

Hyams was on Nashville radio and said this is the hardest ticket to get in his time covering Vols. Most expensive face value tickets ever. 200+ for second market tickets. The University is expecting 125k+ to descend on Knoxville for either tailgating or attending. So many they have apparently outsourced some crowd mangement.

Get there early and raise hell fellow Vols!

I recall 2000 Florida being pretty hot too, as far as prices go, but back then it was more word of mouth and no internet to help guide ticket prices. Getting between the 40s back then was a different experience. This game's definitely been atypical; it's the first game in the "Stubhub era" where I've seen UT tickets hold and climb leading into gameday, which to me is actually kind of neat -- it's the first time in forever that Vol fans have been determined to be in attendance for the game and been willing to overpay to get the seats. It shows demand, shows excitement, shows everything UT fans are putting on this game's shoulders.

Hope it pays off, for all of us Vol fans.

I am way up in XX2, Row 26. I am moving from FL to TX after the Vols-Gators game. It will be even harder to make trips to Neyland after this move, so I hope to make it a special one this Saturday.

Awesome seats. Chairbacks, roof, plenty of room and straight on view of jumbotron. Maybe my favorite section

In reality, they didn't. There are about 97,000 seats between the lower and upper bowls in Neyland. How do I know? Well, I was bored one day and went to UT's site and you can count them. Each seat of each section is there with the exception of the Upper W. Sideline but you can get close enough.

Anyway, SRO tickets (when I was in school) were in the S. Upper Deck (GG, HH, II, etc)...as if that area needed more people for the concessions & bathrooms. :loco:

Back when UT sat 104K, it would be almost impossible to get 5,000 more people in the stadium. To put it in perspective, sections G & Q are the largest in Neyland seating over 2600 each. Imagine adding that many people scattered around the stadium.

They used to count everyone in the stadium - even those without tickets.

Teams, referees, ushers, concessions, security, etc
