Im a realist and I know/ agree with what your saying. Just remember this though. aTm has never lost a game. We've ran out of time before, but we've never lost.

I'm just wondering why the Big-12 south is so overrated? They will have great records and put up great stats but then flop in the bowl games(1-5). This puzzles me.

The Big 12 only gets so many highly ranked teams because they play against other Big 12 teams. You saw how the "mighty" Big 12 South fared against the SEC in the bowls last year, didn't you?

I'd have to say the SEC West is the toughest right now. It was the east for a several years though.

For the first time I agree with everything you said. Dang!

The last 3 NCs are from the SEC? UF/LSU/UF? I would say it is one of the SEC divisions.

See? We can be friends.

Who said anything about being friends. We just agreed, once.:)

Just cause I disagree with you doesn't me I don't like you. Just means we disagree. I disagree with my wife, and kids everyday.:p

I agree with everything but the SEC West being the toughest. We'll settle everything in the season. Preseason it looks great but after the season starts we'll know for sure.

I can attempt to address that.

Big 12 coaches would have little to no fear if given the opportunity to face Vandy, Kentucky, or South Carolina defenses.
are you kidding me? SCe would have been the best D in the conference by a huge margin last season.

Big 12 south is a joke. There is no semblance of D in the place and holding of also rans like OSU and Tech as support for the only two teams in the conference is a joke. Our team will likely be mediocre this season, but Id take them against all but OU and TX.

If we had a proven QB I'd have no fear at all.

SEC West.

Florida turns the SEC East into a cakewalk and I was not impressed with the big 12 in the bowl games last year (one loss to an SEC East and West team and Texas just barely beat a big 11 team... wth!...)

The East has one SEC contender, let alone national contender.

:) I know, I voted too quickly. After looking at the list I would have to change my vote to the Big X11 South., followed closely by SEC west.

The east will be back in a few yrs. when we get better...

I don't see the MAC East anywhere on that list? Just kidding.

No, seriously, what's up with that? :wink2: (By the way, judging by the "Bobcat" in your name and your referencing the MAC, I'm guessing you're an Ohio U fan. Hope you're ready to lose at the very least two weeks in a row, since you play us in BG right after Tenn. :shades: )

Getting on to the actual topic, I think the SEC as a whole is probably tougher to play in than the Big XII, but as far as an individual division goes, the Big XII South just has a higher concentration of some of the current big programs in one division, whereas the SEC spread them out a little more.

Well the poll asks "Which conference & Division is harder?" That could be interpreted as historically, which would be the SEC East IMO, or next season, which might be Big XII South if they fulfill expectations (which I don't think they will; Georgia will beat Okl St by the way).

This season, it's easily the SEC West. Bama, LSU and Ole Miss could all be top ten teams, with Petrino and Arkansas expected to be the SEC's breakout contender and Auburn, while down, having at least an average team.

I completely agree.

The SEC West representative to the SECCG could easily have two losses.

SEC West.

SEC West: Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss are all Top 15 contenders.

SEC East: Florida and Georgia are Top 15 contenders.

Big 12 South: OK State loses to Georgia and it comes down to Texas and OK.
