We are a stepping stone program. It's time the fans accept it. We've been awful in bowl games, we don't represent our conference well against other conferences, and we can't beat our rivals. The head coach at UT isn't what it was 10 years ago, 50 years ago, or 70 years ago. It's currently a job that is good, but prospective coaches feel like they can do better.

Take a look again -- I am agreeing with you.
Reading, its fundamental.
Don't make me regret taking you off of my ignore list.

Ridiculous...Those paint chips you ate as a kid have really killed a lot of brain cells. :jpshakehead:
Total BS! We are down right now. Tell me a program that hasn't been down. Alabama was in a very similar situation and look at them now. Blame Fulmer for running it so low and now loud mouth has punched us in the mouth just as we were getting up from the mat. No 8 count yet though! We will rise.
I'll go ahead and explain my reasoning for saying this. As I mentioned, I consider the top tier to be dream jobs. They are jobs that you can't pass up, no matter what. They are jobs that once you get, you stay there until you're ready to retire/jump to the NFL.
Coaches have turned us down left and right. Twice. You don't do that with a dream job. You take it because it is the natural progression. Does that clear it up at all?
Huge fan by whose definition.Have you ever even been a season ticket holder. We won a national championship not much over 10 years ago and our coach got big and fatter and most of all lazy. I put it all on Fulmer he quit on us anyway you spin it.So now we have some bumps in the road big deal.I think Kiffin as much as it pains me to say it for what he did to us could have put us back to that level. So now we are in a bind does anyone want to walk in MH shoes right now.Yes it is a mess but the real orange bloods will be there when it counts. If somebody wants to give up on us become a Vandy fan.
I see it similar to Cincy. Cincy was 2 more 11 win seasons away from being in the top tier, possibly. ND, however, had an opening. Enter - Brian Kelly.
Actually the hard truth is we got screwed really hard by a coach and no one else wants to pick up and move 2-3 weeks before signing day...(since well, they have integrity among other things and dont want to make a mess like this at another school or leave all these kids whom they told they would still be there)
