Harbaugh

Harbaugh just needs to go to the NFL before his brand is tarnished by whatever comes out. His stock will never be higher. Los Angeles, Washington, Oakland (Las Vegas, but I forget that happened) would all be great spots for him.

Belichick likely taking the Atlanta job and maybe Harbaugh gets the Las Vegas head coaching job.

I think Antonio Pierce is pretty much a lock for the Raiders job. They’re just going through the process to get other guys interviews. Basically it looks like it’s the Chargers or Michigan for Jim.

…and Antonio Pierce SHOULD get the job with the Raiders. He did one hell of job there this year. They showed definite improvement with him as their interim head coach.

Harbaugh has so much leverage here it’s insane.

He can write his own contract and Michigan will agree. 🤣
Michigan may submit to the whole immunity thing (even though he is “innocent”) but they can’t help him with the show cause that he’s about to be hit with.

Does Kelly jump from LSU to MI?

It seemed a weird fit from the start and I think he might. LSU chaos is good. It's a good deal for LSU to get out from under a dumb contract.

LSU snatching Kiffin and him flipping a bunch of Ole Miss kids to LSU would be on par with his character and LSU's character.

Dumb contract? Kelly is 20-7 in 2 years with an SEC West title and Heisman winner, and LSU's program is probably the second biggest beneficiary of Saban's retirement.

Say what you want to about his style and fit in Baton Rouge (which is weird), but he isn't a bad coach.

Sherrone Moore, current OC, is the most likely candidate.

It’s remarkable to me the hate that Kelly gets. The only decent coach that ND has had since Holtz left and has been very good in his two years at LSU.

I'm not a fan of starting out with a guaranteed 10yr contracts. If I was a coach, I'd love it and push for it, but LSU paid O and aTm paid Jimbo big money when things didn't go well.

I'm just not a fan of that first contract being ridiculous. Ease in with a solid 3 years or so to make sure the fit works for everyone, then extend or move on. Sometimes even great coaches aren't a good fit somewhere (and I never questioned Kelly as being good) and they need to move on after a couple of years. That's smarter, IMO.

Danny White did great with Heupel with 5-6 years, THEN extended and raised him.

Ultimately, the contract is only dumb in relation to how the coach performs once they get it. If Jimbo won championships at A&M, nobody is saying that's a dumb contract. Kelly also had a much longer track record of success than Heupel did, hence LSU's willingness to guarantee the money. And A&M's willingness to guarantee the money to Jimbo, for that matter.

That contract isn't dumb...so far.

I think it is because he seems like an unlikeable guy personality-wise and is an odd fit at LSU. Plus, there's a sense he "couldn't get it done" at ND from the crowd that thinks coaches who win a bunch of games but not a national title are overrated/suck.

Sure, taking chances with boatload of money is a wonderful thing when it works out but it's still not the brightest way to run a business.

The kid that got killed in the wind storm at the ND practice left a bad taste in a lot of people mouth . He was in a lift recording. Sorry im not trying to be insensitive.

Moore will be hired within 24 hours after the Harbaugh to LA announcement is made. Moore has been groomed the last two years to take over. He can recruit and he’s the best OL coach in the country. My hope is he hires a play caller.

if its the guy who was the interim head coach they would be dumb not to hire him. Moore won as many regular season games this year as Harbaugh did.

Would love to have him in Las Vegas. But I don't think he and Mark Davis would get along. Davis needs a yes man and Harbaugh is NOT that!
