Remember 2012-13 when there were several Vandy fans who had the nerve to come onto OUR board and troll us endlessly? They were constantly trying to claim that because of a 2 or 3 year aberration, that they were a superior program in the state. (Of course opposing fans who engage in civil discussion is ok, but that was clearly not what most of the Dore fans were here for.) As soon as it became apparent that things were returning to the norm, they all lacked the maturity or fortitude to stick around and continue to discuss football and our rivalry. Haven't heard a peep from a Vandy fan on this board at least since 2014, maybe since Franklin left.

I have little reason to hate their actual football team, but most of their fans are atrocious. They're arrogant loudmouthed pricks when their team tastes even a hint of success, such as going 6-6 and making a crappy bowl game. Even then, they can't fill their own stadium as much as we filled ours during our 5-7 years. They have a constant air of superiority because of their academic reputation, but in all honestly, a lot of their athletes aren't much smarter than anyone else's. Some don't even have the common sense to not rape someone. Their fans dish it out when they can, but they are afraid to take it. They beat a Dooley team and another basically Dooley team and they talk about how they run the state, and then instead of sticking around like men when things turn back around, they run away like wusses. It's a pathetic lil bro mentality.

Deep down, they know their place, and it eats at them relentlessly. They spew hate and call us childish names all year long, such as UcheaT and the Viles, and make us their super bowl, only to lose almost every time. Sad state of existence really. I thank God that I was born and raised right, to love the flagship program of this beautiful state, and not the UT wannabes to the west, who will continue to anchor down last place in the East, like they have typically done over the years. GO VOLS

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas VN!

FYI - everyone should research the true and factual story of Thanksgiving. It was the birth of what we now know as free market capitalism and also demonstrates why socialism is a gigantic failure and cannot produce long term prosperity for anyone who practices it.

Happy Thanksgiving...Stop obsessing over Vandy! After all, they're Vandy.

I grew up in E. TN, went to UT, and didn't leave until I was 25-26 and I had never witnessed the amount of Vandy obsession like there has been in the past few years. I know with social media and chat boards it brings it to the "front & center" but Vandy is still Vandy....and will always be Vandy. Just a small bump in the road to end the season.

Yes, I know General Neyland was brought in to beat Vandy...but that was nearly 100 years ago. It's not relevant today. I predict it will be a fairly close game on Sat. (14-17 point win) but in the end, UT wins and moves on. Vandy goes into the off-season.

I'm thankful that the Tennessee football program under Butch is on the way back up and it's no longer the dark days of losing to Kentucky and losing two games in a row to Vanderbilt.

Not obsessed at all. This was my first Vandy hate post since probably 2013, and my last for the foreseeable future. They're irrelevant.

That conservatives believe Blazing Saddles and A Christmas Story are offensive to us liberals is a testament to just how much Fox News and Rush Limbaugh have eroded the collective IQ in this country. SMH! These are two of our very favorite movies of all time. Each one brilliantly employs parody to ridicule and drive a stake into the heart of conservative ideology. What's more, you just can't get more liberal than Mel Brooks.

Some would do better to worry less about liberals and focus more on expanding their bases of factual reality. Short of that, unregistering to vote would be a noble and patriotic option to consider.

It's not really even about being liberal or conservative its because there is a small group that dictates this by being "offended" for other people and they use the media to bully companies or filmmakers into making changes. My family is part Cherokee, we nor anyone of Native American heritage we know are troubled by Washington using Redskins..but because a few were some sports announcers won't even use "such an offensive term"...I rewatched a film called Holiday Inn that I've seen twice but this was the first time that I've seen it with the Abraham blackface scene because it was cut when shown on TV

many are calling for a boycott of Adam Sandler's new film because of these 6 jokes

I would worry less about liberals if they would keep their whining about PC crap to a minimum.

No nega today. Only happy Vol thoughts. I'll start:

I'm thankful that I was in Dallas to watch Chuck Webb run "Hog Wild"

I'm thankful that I saw Jeremy Lincoln's butt deflect a Notre dame field goal attempt.

I'm thankful that I saw Mose Phillips check his "watch"in the downpour vs. Florida.

Just a few. Figured I'd dig a little deeper.

Happy Thanksgiving ladies/gentlemen.

Not being ugly....but I wouldn't allow Vandy (or their fans) to use that much of my brain space. They'll get zero respect from me.

Very insightful, nJC. Thanks for referencing the article on Sandler's movie. I personally find none of the six listed points to be repulsive or offensive. In fact, I almost split a gut laughing as I perused them. Of course, I am a staunch defender of freedom of artistic expression. And, being tolerant and open minded are stalwart attributes for anyone espousing true liberal views. That is why I hate it so much when someone running around with his or her PC drawers in a wad gets labeled as liberal. They are anything but liberal. Sadly, Limbaugh and others like him have pointed to those PC ranters as being the definition of liberal. Nothing could be further from the truth. We despise them as much as any conservative does.

Happy Thanksgiving Volnation!

I'm thankful for having attended the greatest university in all of these United States as well of all of college football.

Thanks to each and every player throughout the history of the sport, the coaches (current and past), the citizens of the great state of TN, and to the best (most passionate) fans anywhere.
