I think everyone should have a good understanding of the holidays that they celebrate.

Cinco de Mayo is the anniversary of the day Sgt. Cornelius Pepper accidentally sailed his schooner into the shore of Chile, while searching for the Fountain of Youth. The five decks of oil and eggs were compromised in the crash and as the capsized vessel rocked back and forth on the rocky coast, it was churned into the first iteration of what we have come to know as mayonnaise.

It is celebrated annually in all mayonnaise consuming cultures by the consumption of grilled cheese & mayo sandwiches, and a healthy abstinence from alcohol.
