I think the bigger thing in that case is still more of a thank goodness / be glad that they caught that kind of cancer as early as they did, because the means that they found out about it (when he was showing no symptoms of it)...that was extremely lucky.
And while I very much admired that he wanted to play with his team because so much was expected that year, I still personally think he should have taken the medical redshirt.
Either way, he was all vol and he had a great college career.
That was also one of the greatest games ever witnessed in TBA. That game, the Kansas win, a couple of the Florida wins, and a couple of Kentucky beatdowns top my list.
If we had him in this tourney along with our current lineup, we would be a final four or championship game lock.... they don't make many like him with the heart and soul he had....
I miss C-Lo! I had the opportunity to have dinner with him on a few occasions. Really great guy! I remember one of my buddies asked him the first time we had dinner with him who he thought was uglier Noah or Oden. He just laughed and said that he couldn't even decide.
