Happy birthday

To Buzz Peterson. The former North Carolina player and Tennessee coach turned 44 on Thursday.
Peterson played golf on his birthday. "Thirty-six holes," he said. "I don't do that often."
He shot 82 and 79, the latter being the first time he's broke 80 this year.

Peterson planned more golf for Monday, when he'll play host to a fund-raising tournament for his charitable foundation. Participants include former UK coach Tubby Smith.

Peterson guided Coastal Carolina to a 15-15 record this past season, bringing his two-year mark at the school to 35-25. Freshman Josh Mack, the former University Heights player, was named Big South Conference Freshman of the Year.
