I know it's tough to see your beloved school go through tough times. Take it from someone who suffered through the Goff and Donnan eras. Both were good coaches in certain areas, and fine individuals, but just couldn't put it together in the toughest conference in college football. Few can.

Anyway, hopefully you'll find the right HC and won't have to go through the ten year span that we did. And I hope that you will finish 2nd in the East to us every year.

Fulmer's a good guy and deserves respect for what he's done for the university over the years. Unfortunately UGA fans treated Goff badly and he no longer comes to Athens for games. That's a shame for a guy who gave so much as a player and coach.

I'd love to see UT honor Fulmer at the Kentucky game and give him the sendoff he deserves so that he will always feel that he, unlike Goff, is welcome on campus.:salute:

At least now we KNOW it's the players, not the coach. These players are lazy and couldn't catch a nerf ball if their mommy was throwing it to them.

After Saturday I am all for putting Johnny Majors on the send off committee!

i agree with the players comment. this season falls on them. it is apparent that there is no energy, no fire, no drive to go out there and win a game. im just exhausted, i dont think ive ever seen a time look this bad. the 2005 team would shut us out 30-0. this is the rock bottom for rocky top. i hope to be back in the conversation soon.

I know full well that, eventually, Florida will have to fall off of its current performance levels. It is inevitable. So, while we are where we are, I figure I might as well enjoy it while it lasts.
Congrats LG. I personally think Florida will win the N/C again and Tebow named Heisman again. I am SEC all the way with possible exception of Vanderbilt.

i AGREE. When you are on top of the mountain there is only one way you can go...DOWN. Fortunately for us when you're at the bottom there is only one way to go.

UF's performance levels aren't all that right now IMO. They're benefitting from a weak SEC again. They didn't have to play the only other decent team in the conference.

UGA has Stafford, who is worth at least two losses per season.
LSU is essentially Auburn
UT has the worst offense in its entire history
Auburn is worse than UT
SC is SC.
Kentucky is KY.
Vandy is Vandy.

Not to diminish that UF is 9-1, but their national rep right now is based up beating up the SEC, which in hindsight, doesn't have the strength that one would think. UF's route to 8-1 has been relatively mild, relative to OU and TX.

As it took Alabama also. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I predict this will be a long ordeal for the vols. You get a decent coach with the crappy offense that you all have. That is at least two more years of dismal offense. By then you all will be wanting to boot out whoever the HC is.:lolabove:

I actually do not disagree with any of your take on the SEC situation, except possibly LSU. They do not have offensive playmakers to be sure, but their schedule in the last month has been pretty rough, as SEC schedules go, with UGA, Florida, and Alabama. They lost all three, though they took 'bama to the wire (actually a little bit past the wire).

I am very impressed with the Big 12 offenses, but I'm wondering whether some part of it is due to a bunch of bad defenses, too. These teams are giving up 500, 600 yards of offense. As good as those offenses are, at some point you have to think it is in part because that's where all the talent is.

It could be shades of 2006, where Florida's defense crushed a tOSU team that otherwise had lit everybody up. Or it could be like the 1995 season when Nebraska's offense made us look silly in the Fiesta Bowl.

Hopefully, we will get the chance to find out.

That would be me. I'd just as soon my enemies checked their pity at the door.

We'll be back. 'Til then, the pity party from elsewhere rings hollow for me.

that schedule would look brutal if those were great teams. Alabama is a bit of a fraud, UGA has Stafford and UF is pretty good, except on D.

Completely agree that the horrendous defenses are partly to blame for the great offense. None of those teams would waltz through the SEC, even at its current state. I believe UGA could beat all of them if Stafford doesn't give away the game and I don't believe UGA is that good.

See above.

As to the last, I don't believe UF's D is going to dominate anyone like the '06 crowd and they have to deal with AL first.

The team that could make everyone look silly because of D strength is USC. They're being badly overlooked right now.

Their D is phenomenal, but can their offense score enough points to keep them in the game, or better yet, come back if they go down by a couple scores?
