welcome to the board, Bats. cool avatar.

I appreciate that.

Also, very good point, Rizzo924. I'm assuming that will happen. I have faith in Lane. I have even more faith in the staff as a whole, if it ends up coming together the way I think it will. But, you are right. He has yet to call a game in Orange.

On the Topic, a very good read as per usual.

Sounds like CLK is pretty down on USC's facilities. So a return there might only be after they significantly upgrade?

i believe they just got $100 mil to upgrade the facilities. though it has been wildly rumored that the AD promised sarkisian the SC job if carroll left for the nfl and that is why he didn't take the raiders job.

Griffin on Kiffin???

Although the Griff is my favorite writer at the KNS, my boycott of the site is and will be in effect until Adams is history.

In three years if we have a coach that everybody in the country wants I will be thrilled.

In regards to the coaching search, I'm convinced he had his candidate before he made the leap of letting Fulmer go.

I'd like that to be more like in one year.

Kiffin said he had no contact with Hamilton nor did he consider Tennessee an option until after Fulmer had resigned.

On the other hand, Hamilton wouldn't be very smart to let Fulmer go without contacting some agents.

I like what Kiffin reportedly told Hamilton at first. You go to all the best candidates out there and interview them, then I hope you come back and offer me the job.

I don't get the vibe that hes looking to return to the NFL. Who knows the NFL might not be there much longer the way the economy is going right now.

I also interpreted his remarks to indicate he would like to make a long career as HC at Tennessee.

He seemed to me to be speaking from the heart in his initial introduction interview and maybe it's just my perception but I think he is better suited to be a college coach rather than an NFL type coach.
