every post like this conveniently skips over the ole miss years.
On January 14, 2010, Smith resigned as head football coach of the Chicago Bears and accepted the head coaching position at the University of Tennessee. Smith replaces Lane Kiffin, who unceremoniously left the Tennessee program after 14 months as the Volunteer head coach. Smith becomes the first African-American coach in the history of the University of Tennessee.
Lovie Smith would probably save the recruiting class, not sure about him over the long term. The Bears have not impressed me under his tenure, and he's basically leaving because he'll get fired next year. Of course, Saban was no great shakes in the NFL either.
Even though Basilo was way off yesterday he says that the UT Plane is on it's way to Chicago [Lovie Smith] - 4 Million per year, 7 years
Update: another Source confirmed this at 9:10

Huge Bear fan here. Lovie could be just the polarizing figure TN needs right now. Alot of people knocking his Chicago tenure, but he's done alot more than most could with the crap QB's he's had to work with. Chicago fell in love with the guy and our recruits would too. Please let this one rumor be the one true one.
Anyone got some Dramamine? This roller coaster ride is about to get to me.
Well just checked Lovie's wikipedia page and this caught my eye;
there's no chance in he11 of getting Stoops. let's get real
