CDC lacks charisma and transformational leaders require it. we need nothing short of a miracle to achieve what the fanbase desires and while CDC would stablize the program, i don't think he would take the program to the level that is necessary to satisfy the fanbase in general.

this is the question we should be asking ourselves here... do we believe cutcliffe is a top 10-15 coach of has the potential to be so? ....... no? ok then why would he be the right hire for a program within that ranking? ... everyone cites it being too late in the game or his loyalty and familiarity with the program. ok well it is not too late in the game to get a coach with potential looking to make a jump. i mean kiffin and skip holtz jumped within the last couple days. pete carroll went to the freaking seahawks... loyalty and familiarity isnt what we need. we need a GOOD COACH.... come on we can do better than this. stop selling ourselves short.

Cut is a great guy and a good coach, just not who we need. We will be running him out the door in 3 to 4 years and paying him a buyout and be behind even more. Just let Kippy run it with the interm HC tag for 2010 while we look for the right guy. Only loose 1 class that way.

This is exactly right. And don't forget Tuberville to Texas Tech in the last week. The timing ain't good, but that's not the whole problem.
