Fulmer's statement today about how he is not a candidate for the job and how they need to hire a man of integrity, character, etc etc seemed to pave the way for it to be "okay" for Cutcliffe to take the job. I assumed that was its whole purpose.

Money??? The rumor was they were offering $3 million to a guy who has never been a HC. Money isn't an issue at TN at all. They have one of the largest athletic budgets in the nation, look at last year's staff as an example and paying Fulmer $6 million to go home.

They did say about a "mystery candidate" but they also made it sound like Cut has been offered. Which means the "mystery candidate" is....

No one that shocking because why would Cut have a offer.

Fulmer said that he was not interested in the HC position, but he did not mention the AD position. I'm not saying he's the best candidate...but he's better than what we have now.
