It honestly feels like its been a month - but it has only been a week... need to stop waiting and watching VN every second for the story to break.

People,

There are not gonna have a coach until after the year is over. Do you think Butch Davis is gonna come out right now and say he really interested in coaching at Tennessee. No! The search firm is just talking to everybody's agent gettiing a feel for who would want to talk to us.

Please do not worry any more about recruits. I know it sucks to loose people but remember there are alot of misses out there recruiting wise and its more about getting the right coach.

No more Gruden talk .... He is kind of a guru for west coast offenses in which it takes NFL qbs about four years to learn. We can barely hand off right now much less learn all of his offense.

Relax!

Good point. Truth is, he probably does have his coach, just waiting for the necessary season ending date to announce it. UNC or whomever can let one of their assistants coach the bowl game.

I guess we can safely assume that Champy has already opened all of his Christmas presents -- for 2009. Easy, big fella. Even if Hammy already knows the answer, proper protocol must be followed, including at least these two: (1) Fulmer deserves the respect of finishing the season before and announcement is made; and (2) other programs/franchises might be involved and UT would be condemned mightily for tampering with a coach under contract.

I am anxious to see the announcement, too, but these things take time.
