Just watch, Hamilton might be on to something. Think about it. Hire a guy for 1.5mil. instead of 4mil plus i.e Saban, Miles, Myer, Rict....... Then spend the rest of that 2.5 million taking all the best recruiters and position coaches in the country and SEC. They will not be able to keep these coaches cause ol Hammy will still have the money to give out. I think this might turn out all right boys. I think he is going to get more for his money this way. If I were a recruit I sure as he** would want to have the best position coach coaching me. And by the way Neyland Stadium is not going anywhere! GO VOLS!

It makes since why Kippy did not get the job. One position coach down and a few more to go. Just saying. I think he learned something while hiring kiffin for cheaper. He did once and looks like he doing it again.

Interesting thought process, though. But if we're honest, Lane Kiffin came up with the idea.

It only took one year to cost Georgia, LSU, & Alabama to have to pay their DC $650M !

Dooley is making $1.5 mil? That's as much as Tubberville is making at Texas Tech and he's a proven Head Coach. Oh well im behind Dooley and Tennessee regardless of how this has turned out.

Go Dooley. Save the recruiting class. Figure out what you will do with Reaves and Cregg. Get a top flight DC and we will give another yeat of 7-6 as being psitive.

Hammy's first rape victim was his own university, TN.

(Because of the Kiffin fiascle - not Dooley. I don't know enough about Dooley to believe this is a good or bad hire. He's our coach now, so I'm behind him either way.)

That was Kiffins idea not MH. I do like the idea though. There is plenty of stew left in the pot there in the pot for whatever is needed. I think Dooley was hired for many reasons but being able to recruit is a MAJOR plus. Hope he keeps Thompson and Garza. Reaves will eventually end up at usc I'm sure.

Hamilton has made it a lot easier to rank the lowest head coach in the conference.

It's really amazing that he was able to get Dooley to accept the same pay as Tubby took and Tubby's dad is not even a legendary football coach. And, CTT's wife probably isn't a doctor and forget about him having a law degree. All Tubby has is football victories as a head coach.

Hammy is a slick guy. He'll probably get some OC's who have some really interesting relationships. I know Obama's brother-in-law coaches basketball. Since he got such a steel on Dooley, he might be able to get him to join as DC and who else could put up an interesting credential like that?

Hammy is so good.

an act of plunder, violent seizure, or abuse; despoliation; violation: the rape of the countryside.

For those that only know one use of the word.

Well if we were nicknamed the Cossacks, i could buy that argument. The modern connotation is a crime against a persons soul and changes one forever. It should not be used lightly.

Yep, and gay still means happy. Get real, grow up.

There is no sense in using that word. Its not that big of deal, but in the future, please remember that this is a public forum and sometimes altering what the language you use as compared to how you speak privately is necessary.

Ummm. Just exactly how many assistants do you think we're going to have?

Isn't part of the reason several candidates turned us down was because they were being asked to keep about six of Kiffin's leftovers since we are stuck with their contracts? IF we keep these six plus the ones Dooley is bringing from La Tech, then how many more are we going to be able to hire?

And if we aren't keeping these six Kiffy left behind, then why was Hammy forcing them onto the perspective candidates?
