Halo 4

They feel nothing alike at all to me.

Not so much the actual gameplay, but the endless chasing of more XP, perks, customized loadouts, etc. now feel A LOT like COD. I kind of miss leveling up by beating people in ranked matches. Everyone used to start with the same weapons and had to fight to control parts of the map if they wanted the power weapons. All that is gone now. Like I said before, don't confuse this with an anti-COD post. I plan on wearing Black Ops 2 out. Halo just used to be a change of pace, and Halo 2 is IMO the greatest online shooter ever. If they would come out with a remake of Halo 2 for the current gen systems with some new maps, but identical gameplay, weapons, and the ranked clan matches that shipped with the game, I would happily pay $200 for it. Halo 2 was THAT good.

I agree about the size of the maps, all way too big. You almost have to do BTB otherwise you never see any action. Haven is the smallest board and it still has a large footprint. I miss boards like wizard, chill out, lockout where you could dominate with a shorty, these boards are all about BR and DMR. I also don't like the air drops, I like knowing when weapons are going to spawn and getting there...overall I the game is good but MM could have been a lot better.

Also there is no sniper variant yet, hope that is addressed.

In that respect I agree completely. It is very much like COD.

I used to play Halo 2 on pc, but honestly it's been so long ago I don't remember much detail about it.

Is this game worth buying a system/live for? Had a recent influx of cash so it wouldn't be THAT big of a hit on the wallet.

Halo 4 is my favorite game in the Xbox right now. IMO it's better than black ops 2. Ign has it as game of the year already.

FYI if you don't have this game yet, apparently it's now $40 at some places, like Target, K-Mart (if you can find one) and some online dealers.

It contains the content for multiplayer. If you want to play online you have to download that particular portion of the game off that disk.
