New commercial airs during Monday Night Football tonight. Registration for beta testers for the multiplayer should be activated shortly thereafter. halo3.com

No gameplay in the commercial. It uses "gameplay resources" in parts which really means, "we wish the game could look like this...but it will still be pretty."

Supposedly, die-hard fans should be able to spot clues about the new game and storyline.

Goes on XBOX Live tonight after the commerical. I'm sure it will start popping up online later this evening as well.

Just passing this along...

I still partake in an XBox Live game of Halo 2 at a friend's house. But nothing much anymore. I used to be pretty good back in the day.

What, SWIL? Halo 2 on XBox Live is played out. Not to mention all the idiots that populate the games.

I'm not sure that he has. I'll bet he at least played it a few minutes, but I don't think he ever finished the story or played a game online. Perhaps I'm wrong.

I've never played a single game of Halo online myself. I played about half the story in #2 and lost interest. Wasn't really into shooters on consoles at that time.

I never finished the story mode on either. I did play Halo 2 online a few times when my nephew came over. It was one of the only games that you could play online with a guest.

Hey Rosen, I have finished GOW on Casual and Hardcore and just did Act 1 on Insane last night. :)

You are a freak! Seriously, don't you have a wife and kids? Do you live in a guest house out back by yourself?

I'm glad you warmed up to Gears. I'm still on the second chapter, I think. Then again, I'm more than halfway through Resistance. And, I got Rainbow 6 Vegas last night, so I'll be playing it for awhile before hopefully finishing up the other 2.

I use to go over to my teammates house to play Halo, and i never really got into it. I like more realistic games like Socom for ps2. least i'm a soldier on there and not some kind of robot like on Halo or whatever those characters are.

I live in a van down by the river.

I still haven't decided on my PS3 yet so it is still sitting in my living room. Resisance looks fun and the NBA game I played at EB GAmes was very nice.

I have been thinking of picking up Rainbow 6 over my Christmas vacation.

I'll certainly give you my thoughts once I've played it awhile. I liked the demo a lot. On the full game, you start in Mexico and it's seriously like they just copied over a level from GRAW. Graphics aren't especially great on the first level. But, from everything I've read, it picks up once you hit Vegas and the multiplayer is solid. One dude said, "havig 3 teammates next to you and you're all counting down to opening up and throwing flashbombs in is great fun."
