Does anyone have an understanding as to how the NAT works? I can join some people, but with others, it says something incompatible NAT's.

This is a problem when they don't want their gaming NAT's to be public. Like any game that is hosted, the host must present an open or public NAT for you to connect. If its not a NAT that is considered public, you cannot connect.

Well, I've been trying to connect with Remus and I'm pretty sure that his is open.

I just read something online that said that you have to open certain ports on your router. I have no clue how to go about doing that.

My NAT was open yesterday and it's set on "strict" today. I didn't even do anything to it. It's very frustrating.

What kind of router do you have OWB??

I'm fixing to buy a new wireless linksys router. I might be asking for a few tips later tonight. I have ATT (Bellsouth) 6mb DSL going into an Access point which I have never protected.

If you still need help. I also have a linksys router and can tell you how to set it up and which ports you need to forward.

I might have to take you up on that if I don't figure things out. That is of course, if I can ever get you away from GOW.

I love that game. :)

Seriously, just send me a chat sometime or something. I can walk you through it rather quickly. I helped Larkin set his up because he was having similar issues.

FYI, I updated my firmware on the Linksys website and it fixed this problem for me, no open ports or anything.

I've opened the required ports and assigned the 360 with IP that I'm opening the ports for, but it's still failing at the IP when testing the connection on the 360..... I know it's something small that I'm missing.

I have the same router, I run DHCP config, updated to the latest firmware and set my Xbox as DMZ host. NO OPEN PORTS.

Works fine. Don't think too much.
