The JMM song? Very personal. I got regular letters and goodie boxes from my mom, sister, aunts, uncles, friends, etc, but I got a hand written letter from my dad. He sent one during basic training too. I could talk to most people on Social Media during my deployment, but my dad doesn’t do that stuff. Then or now. Literally put him on my cell phone plan for his very first smart phone two months ago. And outside of my Grandma who passed away, I’ve never looked up to, trusted, or confided in someone like I do him. I still have both those letters, and just thinking about them has me ready to tear up. I actually have almost every letter still, but you get the point
The Little Girl is up there for saddest song ever. I know it seems to have a happy ending, but goodnessFunny I thought about you when I heard it this morning and wondered if, well, it meant what you just said it did. That's cool.
