What is the story about the robot that was supposed to deliver the drum major's whistle?

It didn't work out too well but does anyone know the reasoning behind it? TIA

It was one of the food delivery robots that roam campus.

Apparently SkyNet tried to reprogram it and it had to be destroyed.

I heard the GPS app didn't work correctly and whatever remote operation was available did not work. The Pride is struggling to move into the 21st century although they are trying. There are traditions making sense to hang on to tightly. One thing that doesn't make sense is not having summer weight uniforms for the members to wear until temps moderate. How many have to succomb to the heat before the Pride leadership learns this as other SEC schools have. Kudos for what they are doing but they are behind the times a bit. Many college bands are doing more Drum Corp like shows which is something the "music educators" at UT take issue with. Just as the Athletic Department realizes they have to stay on the cutting edge to recruit and keep young peoples interest, the Pride needs to do the same. We'll see if the new director is more open minded.

They think that there was interference from the coach’s wireless headsets on the sideline and that the robot became confused

Agree, especially with the uniforms. They need a warm/hot weather alternative.

No, however the band was out of sync when forming the "T"
I wasn't going to say that. I don't have SECN and didn't go to the game but during some replays one side of the T I was like ICK .. come on! I mean I wasn't really mad or anything but it seemed like. "This is the thing we do" .. One side did it good, the other not so much.
