Halftime Adjustments Needed

The adjustments will come through recruiting speed, our defense is sloooooow on top of being out of position and taking horrible angles. ST play, WTF! :shakehead:

I gotta disagree. This isn't on the coaches. We have no speed on defense and, with a few exceptions, we have horrible talent. Offense wise we've scored 20. That's pretty dang good in a half with a freshman QB

But they are _regressing_. This isn't a speed issue. It's being caught out of position, poor tackling and containment technique, pee-wee league effort. This is a failure of the staff to hold onto any gains perceived in GA/SC games. We are worse in almost every phase.

New yr same ol story. Its like watching reruns of the last 6 yrs we are just awful no other word for it

And to be honest, we have gotten a lot of mileage out a close lost to UGA, considering their injuries and the fact they proceeded to lose the next two games following ours.

We need to learn how to set and contain corners and secure some speed during halftime. Maybe dial up some JUCO players to help us out. Otherwise, we're going to need some injuries to AU skill players. The way it's going, we'll give Marshall a record-setting day.

I don't think our talent would win in pee wee either. :). I just think everyone needs to calm down. Yes we have a long way to go but we are playing a top 10 team........again. Hopefully we can recruit our way out of this hole.

Has it even crossed anyones mind that it's maybe not the coaching staffs fault? That MAYBE its the lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball? Grow up everyone. Thanks.

If the score were 14-0, I don't think there would be as much hopelessness. It's a long shot, but we are really very much in this game. Need great coaching, great effort and 12th fan support, but, like the USC game, this one is winnable at home.

But I'm not uncalm, neither are many people who aren't calling for Butch's head but are searching for visible signs of improvement. We are being scored on at will, and 7 of our points are not attributable to Dobbs (from your earlier post).

Oh, another score on a hapless, undisciplined team.
