thanks Hat. Interesting picks. I like Augustin - saw him play against us last year and was impressed with his bball IQ.

No Tyler Hansbrough?

Tyler Hansbrough is the single most overrated player of the last decade.
without a doubt. sans Vitale's shenanigans, he'd be another Joe Wolf. Solid, but never spectacular. In fact, if the real 4/5 men weren't heading to the NBA so early, he would likely be a backup at UNC.

Thanks hat! I look forward to your guidance once the season gets started!

As a friend of mine (who is a big UNC fan) put it, "Tyler Hansbrough is like a black hole, once the ball goes in, it ain't coming back out" that would be part of the reason he is overrated.

Great job Hat you never fail to have great insight on this. Great to see Costner getting some love, he impressed me a lot in the ACC tournament last season

I assure you, overrated or not, Tyler Hansborough has more worth on both ends of the court than Dane Bradshaw would have in my town's junior pro league.
Ok, the Bradshaw comparison was extreme but TH is vastly overrated nonetheless.

Tyler Hansbrough is the single most overrated player of the last decade.

How?

Apparently most coaches and sportswriters disagree, as he's garnered two all-ACC honors, ACC Freshman of the year, and a 3rd and 2nd team All-American honor. He averages 18+ ppg, 8 rpg, about 55% from the floor and 75% from the line, playing in one of the toughest conferences in the nation. There were only 4 games last season where he didn't reach double figures.

Sportswriters tried to pass Joakim Noah and Michael Munoz off as All Americans. Don't spend much time concerning myself with their opinions. Sucko T better pray he faces neither Kevin Love or Michael Beasley. Being annihilated by a freshman would expose him as the joke he is.

Hat - what evidence do you have that he's a joke? He's not as fluid or graceful as a lot of other players, but he produces. And he's had 2 years for some of the best players in the country to expose him, and that hasn't happened yet.

Jeff Green and Roy Hibbert had their way with Hansbrough down the stretch in the tournament last year. If the officials hadn't sent the clumsy oaf to the foul line about 100 times, he would have been a total nonfactor in that game. Exactly what quality big men has he played against in the ACC? Josh McRoberts? Kevin Love would wrap that buffoon up and mail him back to the jerkwater town he grew up in.
