Unless you have personally talked to Coach Pruitt and have been a part of his deepest thoughts, you have no idea what he wants or does not want. The only information I have to go by is what I have heard in press conferences and post game statements.
My opinion is, he knew and realized exactly what he was inheriting and where Vol Nation expects this program to be. Looking at the talent that is being recruited, I do not see your statement being at all valid about him not wanting to coach here. I have heard him say several times he loves teaching. However, if he inherits young men that are not willing to "buy into" his system, he is even farther behind than when he started. This is when the purge of the old (Butch) mentality should start. However that gets handled it needs to be handled. I hope he will purge the poison and get his recruits in and build this program to where you and I both want it to be. He and his staff took a 4-8 no SEC win team and were able to get them ready and defeat 2 ranked SEC teams, one on the road in a very hostile environment. Considering the depth and youth of the team, not to mention injuries, that's not bad. Sure we lost to our in state competitor 3 years straight and it hurts. But, my money is on the VOLS in the long haul.
In addition, unless you have been told by players that they feel he doesn't want to be here, again you have no idea.
I understand your frustration with today's loss and the up and down season. I am feeling much the same way. However, there has been improvement maybe not where we all wanted it to be but none the less this team was better that the last team.
