Have supper cooked or take her out to a resturant and sit where you can see the tvs. Then monday first thing i would go out and GET A DVR
when she asks why you're watching the tv, tell her what the UCLA girl had on her dance team profile... "my boyfriend said 'I'm just not comfortable watching people eat' " :eek:lol:

So I have been married for 4 months. Sure, it's had it's rocky bottoms but this morning it just got alot worse. My wife, wanted to head out and go shopping today. She wanted me to go with her, and when I didnt show concern for going, she made me feel horrible about it. Say's I would let her walk out of the door over football. That I would rather spend the day watching football than with her my wife. Football is only a few short months out of the year. Is it so bad for me to want to stay home and watch this huge game? It was a huge argument and she just left very pissed off at me. NOT GOOD!!!

What in the world should I do?

ENJOY THE GAME, sometimes a guy must set priorities.:eek:lol::eek:lol:

Go with her and listen to the game on your phone while she is looking or trying on clothes or DVR it so you can watch it later. If not no worries, if we win it will be played over and over. If we lose it will be played over and over. A buddy of mine had his friends text him play by play last week was pretty ingenious I thought. Bottom line is you give a little and she will too. No pun intended.

She knows I am a huge Vol fan. As far as the shopping goes, it's an hour and a hlaf away. so we would be back around 6 with her. She's playin the sacrifice game, and all? I mean, this is the worst fight we've had yet. She thinks that this game is more important than spending time with her...uh~

Sounds like she needs to grow up a little. Not trying to be mean, but you MARRIED her for the rest of her life I assume. The mall will still be there tomorrow. Call her cell and tell her to spend an extra $100 bucks (if you can afford it). And you might want to tell her she knew you were a Vol fan when she married you.
H*ll no!!! call the card companies now and cancel all the cards...

My wife knew that I was a Vol fan when she married me, I just don't think that she realized that the word fan was short for 'fan'atic.

Luckily my wife is a big UT fan. She just left to go shopping with her mom and will be back by kickoff.

I started the ribs an hour ago.

I'm confused....did she not know you were planning on watching the game? Did you each spring these plans on each other today?

BTW she must hate you all year long because it looks like you are a member of three crazy fan bases, VOLS, STEELERS and RED SOX. Do you ever have time for her?

Welcome to the world of marriage my friend.

There comes a point in every man's life he wishes he would have bought a dog instead... Yours just came a little earlier than some others.

We all go through it though. Take solace in you're not alone...

Dude at one point in my relationship mine was the same way, but I STAYED STRONG. SHE WILL GET OVER IT. Mine now knows that SATURDAY and SUNDAY is NO GO. She will watch games with me most times or I send her shopping while me and the little guy yell at the TV all day. Trust me man if she loves you she will get over it. IF NOT THEN DIVORCE:crazy:

I asked my wife what she thought about this, being i was in a somewhat similar situation,,well maybe 20% similar.. she says it sounds like she is selfish.

Indeed, no seriously, I give her a hard time but come game time mine is usually right there with me if we both aren't having to work...Matter of fact mine swapped and worked a morning shift today so she could watch the game with me today...I got it lucky
