Gus is a better hire wearing a diaper to coach a football games than Les Miles ever will be any kind of coach.. Just my opinion. Why do you think LSU fired him. When he got rid of all Sabans players he did not do any good.

Certainly he'd be upgrade, but need to use some logic. Continue at school he just took to SEC CG, or go to coach at Ark, where he's from...third choice of running into a unmitigated disaster prob not high on his list.

Some on here are just plain dumb and some are butts making fun of spelling. Can you paint cars or rebuild engines? It takes all of us to make the world go around!

C'mon. Gus has a great job now, with potential to get paid if he stays or goes home to ARK. Les on the other hand, does not have a coaching job and is interested in our position. Les would do a great job if Phil pays to get Tee (over pay + HC in waiting), and get some other VFL's on staff...Al Wilson, Hobby, Dale Jones, etc...

Not a very good point. Saban isn't available. If Gus is, and it looks likely, you extend an offer to see if he has interest before you chase some has-been like Les. It's not a hard concept.

No thanks, dont want Saban since he lost to Malzahn. Had to throw that out there since that seems to be the logic applied to anyone we are considering.

I would be willing to bet that most of the people that are pro-Les are of the older crowd. They're also probably the same people that would bring Cut and Chavis back if they could.

I love how this board has trashed Chavis for years and now suddenly want to regress back to a mediocre defense run by an old man who's lost his touch for no other reason than he did good things for us...20 years ago.

Chavis is a great DC. He just doesn't like to recruit

I'm 137 years old and my first choice is Kiffin. I'd also be happy with Martin. I wouldn't be at all surprised to end up with Norvell; however, if Cutcliffe, Miles, or the resurrected body of Robert Neyland can make us be champions again, I'm on board.

I'll even take Fulmer on a three year contract with Tee as HC in waiting.

I love Chavis, but he is not a great DC he is a great linebackers coach. He is VFL and a great guy, but he will always be 3rd and Chavis.

He is very good. He is very aggressive and puts offenses in a tough position. 3rd down he can be known to play off a little, but he more than makes up for it the rest of the game

No offense but what makes you think he'd leave one of the top two or three teams in the SEC for the worst. We might be able to hire Kevin Steele as our head coach. That's more realistic.

Has he covered Alvin Kamara out of the back field yet? I dont think he ever adjusted to that dump off we kept throwing for huge chunks of yardage.
