If I remember, this kid wasn't thought of as a universal 5*. I think ESPN had him as a 5* and rivals had him at 4, or maybe that's backwards and ESPN had him at 4. Don't remember.

Kid was vastly overrated coming out of HS anyway, not to mention a headcase. Reminds me how a ton of people on this board had a mancrush on Jake Heaps.

Indiana, LSU, ND - who's next, mommy? His MO on the field is that he is soft in the face of a strong pass rush and not very accurate when the bullets are flying. Could grow out of it if he can get some family separation. Probably will never find out.

I know very little about him but I do remember him being recruited pretty widely. One thing I remember is that when he spurned LSU, Les took some shots at him in a pep rally. Kid took the high road and just said Les was a good coach with a good program or something like that. Decent maturity at least.

Since Coach Butch replaced Coach Kelly at his two prior stops, do they have any ties? It'd give him insight in to the kid at least.

the real question is does a kid like him coming to tennessee scare of a guy we have a shot with like cornwell? second question is who would we rather have? personally i want cornwell more but its kind of a bird in the hand deal, if you can get gunner now then you dont have to worry about missing out on a big time qb like cornwell. im just glad i dont have to make decisions like this lol too much thought involved.

I thought I heard mentioned Cornwell would be a big draw for Kitt. If so, how would Kitt feel about Gunner? I guess my next question is, who would UT rather pull, Kitt or Gunner (if it is one or the other)?

i guess cornwell being out and about on the circuits right now generating buzz and talking to other recruits would be a much better addition to UT. not many of these kids probably know gunner and or still interact with him and want to play with him like they do cornwell..
