The man has been at OSU for 18 years. EIGHTEEN! The man was BORN in Oklahoma! He left one time for 3 years back in the 90’s to get some blue crab. He’s a great coach, but he’s not leaving the state of Oklahoma.

He’s getting a raise. Move along.

Yeah he'd be great but no way in hell does he leave. And how is he the backup plan after Schiano? I'm still shaking my head confused..

He just got a raise this year ! I think there's more to it than just money. Although He just turned Florida down.

Well 8.4 million in Knoxville is like 20 million in California. It may not be that much in Oklahoma however. They may offer him a raise there he has put that football program on the map we'll see what happens.

Currie should’ve already hit the bricks. He’s gonna eff up this hire and pretty much anything he touches at Tennessee. Wonder what all the Currie defenders during the AD search/hire are thinking about this blithering idiot now. I was trying my best to give this guy a chance and to change my opinion of him. But the truth is, he never should’ve been hired here and now we’re seeing why.

Predictions:
Mike Gundy uses us for a raise.
Tennessee hires Dave Doeren, the most boring coach alive.

He’s leaving because we are going to massively overpay.

Why entertain the offer at all if he isn't considering leaving? This is a doubling of his salary pay, if you have no clue what you are talking about then consider not speaking.

Doesn't get the facility and assistant support he wants supposedly and also tiring of T Boone Pickens.

Gundy is considerably underpaid at OKS and has been unhappy with several of the boosters there. How could you in your right mind turn down an $8 million offer?

Good thing he's at OSU. I figured it'd be pretty easy for him to leave Oklahoma.

I’d be shocked but there is a lot of smoke right now. Might be just putting a MOU in front of him and forcing him to say no.

Ok VN, go ahead and protest this one and we’ll be left with somebody like Al Golden. Gundy would be a great hire

If he accepts we have to let him have his guys even if it means all the present Assistants are gone.
