If you are going to argue with gun people, you need to get your specs right. AR does not mean "automatic rifle". It is a brand, Arma Lite. And AR-15s are not assault rifles, they are semi-automatics.

Can you untangle that first sentence?
It is the utility of weapons to kill, whether for valid defense of life or illegitimate taking of life.

In 2020 homicides for example, 450 people were killed by rifles of any type, 662 were beaten to death/strangled with hands/feet, while at least 8029 were killed with handguns.

You're hyperventilating and don't even know why.

Since you brought it up and are apparently qualified to answer:

If someone was interested in adding an extended range long gun to their collection without breaking the bank, what would be your suggestion? Are the Palmetto options decent in quality and accuracy? .308, 6.5C, or 7.62? 18" or 20"? Are Vortex optics a good bang for the buck?
