Yea I can I consider anything above a AR a assault rifle actually a assault on life. Let me ask you good sir do you personally enjoy all these mass shootings ? Do you enjoy watching innocent people and kids getting mowed down by these killing weapons specifically made to kill as many humans in a very short period of time? Do you even care about your fellow man or life itself which is already extremely fragile. Americans can’t go any anywhere anymore without being worried that a crazy nut is going to start shooting them at random to kill with that precious assault rifle of yours. Something needs to be done. Will it stop the shootings completely? Well of course not but it’s something we are obliged to do after all the innocent lives that have been lost in the last several years to these killing weapons. But you sir you value the importance of a killing tool over human life now that is messed up. No civilians need military grade weapons period end of discussion.

B) How would someone be using another person's rifle which is kept under lock and key?

C) Only a select few members on this forum own assault rifles -- former military/LEOs.

Correct me if I am wrong, but annual deaths from rifles of all kinds are less than 1,000 annually. Maybe even around 500 give or take.

According to the FBI'S UCR from 2015-2019 the MOST rifle (all types) murders in any year was 389. The FEWEST murders in that span using no weapons at all (punching/kicking/etc) was 600.

Lot of words for "no, I can't define an assault weapon".

I never enjoy people dying. But I dont justify my fear by denying people their rights. Without freedom life holds no value to me, or most people. It's why slavery is considered one of the worst crimes against humanity. You deny people their ways, you have denied them their lives in exchange for your peace of mind, a terrible trade. Life is a risk. We will all die. And there is a 99.2% (20k out of 2.5 million) chance it wont be by a gun. And even if it is a gun there is a 97.5% chance it wont be by an "assault weapon", that you cant define". And for the record that 97.5 is all rifles not "assault weapons" Weapons That Are Most Commonly Used for Homicides

So if you live in fear of a, at worst, 0.02% chance, yes .02%, of being killed by a rifle, that's on you. Not me and any rifle I may own. That's not a risk worth denying rights over.

If you want to protect people and deny rights I would remove the right to vote. In my life formative life each president has been the worst and cost American lives. Bush 2, wowsers. Obama talked a pretty game but bombed Americans without repercussions. Trump was horrendous and set us up for this mess. And then Biden is brain dead and accelerating the economic collapse Trump started.
