I haven't really dug into it yet but I'm assuming there is still leaway in a state's ability to vet licensees, IL's FOID card for instance, but this decision does disambiguate that carrying for personal defense outside the home is a right and not merely government largesse.

No they don’t. Our demographics are much different and within those demographics is the “gun problem”

Maryland for example has incredibly low gun ownership rates and is one of only 6 states that prohibit concealed carry permits for nearly all citizens. Yet they have the 3rd worst homicide rate in the nation

By my count, 3 (Blunt, Burr, Portman) of them are not seeking another term in the 2022. Only 3 (Murkowski, Young, Portman) are up for reelection this fall. The rest not until 2024 and they probably figure this will be forgotten by then. In today's political climate with a new crisis every month, 2 years will seem like 10.

Voters have notoriously short memories; a few timely handouts and they absolutely develop amnesia.

Hard to tell what you are going to get with Lindsey Graham. He was as rabidly anti-Trump as Paul Ryan, Romney, and some others during the first half of the Trump presidency. With Ryan and some others gone in the second half, Graham was a Trump supporter.
