Gun control debate (merged)

And just for further context - Colonial Americans owned personal firearms at a rate of roughly 60-80% of the population (depending on the probate inventories researched).

And those estimates are believed to be underestimated, given the incomplete probate records from 200+ years ago.

Imagine a society where 80% of the population personally owned the “most deadly” firearm on the market….. pure horror.

And the rate of fire, my god. A single person wielding this weapon could render 1-2 people dead in a matter of minutes.

Far more accurate than others, may have actually had an improved rate of fire, longer range. Everything is relative. And they were allowed to a weapon of war for personal use.

And since you cant provide an actual number for rate of fire that would be acceptable, we keep circling the same argument. By this point yall should have some kind of actual, verifiable, concrete standard.

Luther gave one a little while back in the aftermath of Uvalde.

100 rounds (X) in 120 seconds (Y)

I couldn’t believe it. Had to read it twice.

I need to provide an acceptable rate of fire for you? I didn’t know I had an assignment. I’ll get back to you… it’s all so sudden.

So no modern cartridges at all. I bet there are people who can get pump shot guns and deringers to do that.

As fast as physically possible. Depending on velocity of the rounds I would think that's a couple thousand rounds a second at least.

Let's go with a relative moderate 3000 rounds a second, times sixty seconds thats 180,000 rounds a minute.

Hey, I thought this was my assignment.

I just bought my first straight-wall cartridge lever action for legally hunting Ohio whitetail… I bet people more skilled than I could pull off a rate like that with a Henry.

One is encouraged with eternal salvation vs eternal damnation. (you don't have to do it but you'll burn in hell for eternity if you don't)
The other is encouraged with law. (you don't have to do it - you can move, not work, or refuse to pay and maybe go to jail)

And I would never block you either. I don't know why anyone would block anyone,
There's an on-point bible verse: By works are ye saved, not by Grace through Faith, so that everyman may boast.

Here's a little good news:

Yeah it's Brazil, but still shows that good guys with guns are a good thing. Skip to about 26 seconds for the action.
