Gun control debate (merged)

Sure it does. I can not bear the arms I can not buy due to government restrictions. Nor can I keep them.

Fixed for accuracy. Just because I cant afford every gun out there doesnt mean my Rught is restricted.
Of course it doesn't. You have every right to keep and bear arms, which is your constitutionally protected right. You may have to have a background check, you may have to wait until your are 18, there may be a limit to the number you can purchase in a given time.....but your right to keep and bear arms will not be infringed.

All you have to do is amend it to what you think it means . Thank goodness our FFs gave us a way to do that fairly , and without having to interpret what they meant about amending what we didn’t like .
There is no need to amend it. It wasn't amended to require a person to be 18.

Of course they are. You wouldnt accept those restrictions, except for 18, for voting. Until you can straight up say you would accept those same restrictions on all other rights, you cant argue that they arent infringements.

You couldnt even address my point. How can I keep arms the government wont let me buy?

I'm more for finding that sweet spot. That's how I view abortion. That's how I view guns.
I don't support a woman's right to abort for any reason up to the point of birth.
But I certainly do support her right to abort for any reason in the first trimester.
I don't support a person's right to buy as many guns, and of any type, as they wish.
But I certainly support a person's right to purchase and own guns.

Why is own many guns a problem? You afraid they’ll grow more arms and use them all at once?

You were guaranteed the right to keep and bear arms. How are you being denied that right?
Can you keep arms? Can you bear arms?
What rights that I have are free of restrictions?

Without the more restrictive gun legislation, mass shootings would be even more common today than they are.

The obvious reason is because mass shootings are more popular today than they were in the past.
Why are they more popular? There are numerous reasons.

That’s interesting. So you believe would be mass murders change their mind because they have to use an AR, a handgun, shotgun, etc rather than a belt fed 50 caliber?

If mass shootings are more popular today why is it not reflected in our homicide rate?

“Shall not be infringed upon” . That’s not my interpretation, that phrase does not need interpreted .
So I guess you are saying it is unconstitutional based on your interpretation but not unconstitutional based on the interpretation of the SCOTUS.
That's odd for something that has no room for interpretation.
