You are incorrect and that’s why I was very confident in saying that about the firearms experience we have . Not all firearms are made for the purpose of killing and maiming , some are specifically designed , produced and marketed for other purposes and would never be used for anything but what they were designed for . Do some reading and get back to us we you realize how wrong you were with your original post .

Firearms are designed to shoot ammunition. Nothing more or less. It’s the intent of the shooter to use them in whichever way they see fit.

There is nothing outside of maiming and killing that a gun is intended for. Vehicles, while potentially deadly, are used 99.9% of the time for transportation. Knives, while potentially deadly, are used 99.9% of the time for utility cutting applications. Digoxin, while potentially deadly, is used 99.9% of the time for diseases related to the heart.

Acting oblivious to these facts makes anyone look disingenuous and ignorant.

Even gave him an article to read ( which I’m sure he didn’t ) that states the firearm in the picture was specifically designed to smash skeet . We use to have a bull once that reminds me of him , couldn’t teach him anything until we put that ring in his nose and snapped a rope onto it .

Their weak argument is solely based on what they believe someone’s intent to be and that’s impossible for them to know. The scary looking gun hurts their fragile feelings.

That argument is so tiresome.
Of course it is the fault of the person. I have never once said the person is not at fault.
My argument has always been that guns make it far to easy for people at fault to cause great harm.

That's true of anything that can be turned into a weapon. A person can choose to drive a car into a crowd and kill multiple people without a second thought. It doesn't matter if a car has other uses, it can easily be turned into a mass casualty weapon. So do we outlaw cars?

The problem isn't any one object so it's silly to target an object as the root cause. We need to get better at fixing people.

They are using the gun precisely as it was designed to be used........firing projectiles at targets with deadly force.

Hammers, knives, any power tool, vehicles, drones, baseballs and bats, and many many more everyday objects are designed around deadly force. They are only an issue when one PERSON uses them against another PERSON. at which time we punish the ONE PERSON responsible for the actions.

It's literally why we created tools. We couldnt do a lot of stuff and so we needed something that would act as a force multiplier, literally. Nothing wrong with the tool. Just how it's used.
