Gun control debate (merged)

Sounds like they asked him to transport some of the gifts ... for his own unborn son. Hey, we all have to draw that line in the sand somewhere. For some, it's the vaccine that's a bridge too far, and for others it's schlepping diapers around. God bless the 2nd Amendment. Freedumb baby!

Arnold man charged in shooting 3 at Lower Burrell baby shower for his unborn child, police say

Sounds like you left out some of the story like where she slapped him while they were arguing. I have no dog in the race but at least try to be honest when you post your anti 2a propaganda.

You know its bad when a mass shooting in our new own state doesn't even get its own thread. Just another day, another shooting. Business as usual.

You think this is the only shooting in Memphis today? This one only matters because you can attempt to politicize it.
So now mass shootings don't matter because of all the other shootings. I'm not trying to politicize anything, but do you not see the problem with your statement? Gun violence is a serious problem in this country, to the point we just see it and shrug our shoulders, and it's looking like just letting everyone have a gun isn't the best option. This isn't a problem in any other major country. It needs to be fixed.

. I live in Collierville and this ain’t politics. It matters to us for many other reasons. In case you can’t figure it out there is a HUGE difference in the daily shootings in Memphis versus somebody walking into a crowded grocery store and opening fire with an assault rifle and shooting 14 people. If you can’t understand it, I’m not going to waste my time explaining it to you. Thank God for the Collierville Police who arrived within 4 minutes of the first call. They did really good work. The Kroger employees reacted well too. Otherwise it could have been much worse.

Then fix it or stfu. You can’t control human behavior and trying to control criminals by punishing the rest isn’t even a remotely feasible plan to consider. There’s a reason THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS is number 2 on the list and it isn’t just for hunting or keeping a gun in your home for defense. We have more guns than people and they aren’t going anywhere so suck it up buttercup.

Ban guns, ban knives, ban vehicles.....Heck ban life

No reason to ban all guns. I own shotguns and am not giving those up. But I see no valid reason for anybody to own an assault rifle. Last I checked, I don’t need one of those to kill a deer or a duck. I’d you need one to kill a deer, you are a terrible shot. The only thing they are good for is killing human beings. Period. And don’t waste your breath trying to convince me otherwise. You won’t be able to.

If you think it won’t be politicized then you are being ignorant. Someone that decides to shoot someone is a criminal regardless of venue.

It’s a good think you didn’t frame the 2nd amendment then. It’s not up to you to decide what type of gun someone needs or should be able to own.

So I should just accept the fact that thousands lose their lives every day in the USA because of gun violence bet every other major country has figured out how to prevent it? I'd like to think we are smarter than that....but I doubt it.

And BTW I'm just an average civilian posting on a kids sport message board. I dont have the ability to change ****.

I carry an AR every time I hunt. It goes back to an incident from my childhood when my cousin and I were attacked by a pack of wild dogs while hunting. If my cousin didn’t have his Mini 14 with us we likely wouldn’t have survived.
I don’t give a **** if you think I don’t need an AR. I’m not going out there without one.
