Advocating for the 2nd Amendment doesn't necessarily equate to relying on it. The Constitution is just a piece of paper (basically toilet paper at this point). Again, where have I said that I rely on the 2A to own guns?

Yeah yeah, I know, God or Buddha or Mother Earth or Chuck Norris imparts on each of us free will to own as many guns of any make or caliber or capacity that we so choose.

Although, the second amendment IS relied upon to ignore a whole lot of truths. So either hide behind it or articulate your position if you’re not relying on it. Can’t have both.

The 2nd amendment does not grant the right of citizens to arm themselves. All it does is prohibit the federal govt from infringing on a pre-constitutional human right. It is a negative right.

I’d probably modify that last statement to its a codified limitation on government to not violate an existing right. 🤷‍♂️

The BoR are not SHALLS for the people. They are SHALL NOTS limiting government overreach.

Thats what I’m saying. It’s an ancient right and we can’t mess with it and here it is on paper is all.

The 2A simply protects us from our government, it doesn’t grant us the right to own firearms or be armed.

That’s why you’ve let them take your money to arm themselves for decades with things like with drones, right? You can keep your Glocks though, I’m sure that’ll help you against your government. Thank god we pushed through the Patriot Act to preserve your freedom lol

You reckon anyone would’ve agreed to having a federal government that could regulate the very possession of firearms?

ALL gun laws are infringements.
