My best luck has been at Academy. Find your local Academy delivery days and get there when they open. Before Christmas I had a lot of luck online at cabelas but every thing online has pretty much been shut down since.

There’s gun shops and pawn shops nearby that sell ammo at somewhat reasonable prices but none match up to academy. They have 3 box limit total here so I assume that’s standard everywhere. Take the wife or a buddy with you if possible. I’ve been and gotten 3 200 round boxes of 5.56 and I’ve been and gotten 3 20 round boxes of 5.56. It’s hit and miss but I always get something.
