Gun control debate (merged)

All firearms I get after Biden takes office is going to claim sanctuary status and be held in a secure location , until their attorneys can figure things out .

The 9th circuit decision combined with the late 30s SCOTUS rulings an the NFA are going to be nearly impossible for the gun grabbers to overcome. The us government argued that the 2a protests weapons of war and therefore not SBR and Sub Machine guns as they were not designed for war. SCOTUS agreed. It’s going to be hard For the US government to argue that the US government and the SCOTUS were wrong In that decision

On March 30, 1939, the Supreme Court heard the case. Attorneys for the United States argued four points:

  1. The NFA is intended as a revenue-collecting measure and so is within the authority of the Department of the Treasury.
  2. The defendants transported the shotgun from Oklahoma to Arkansas and so used it in interstate commerce.
  3. The Second Amendment protects only the ownership of military-type weapons appropriate for use in an organized militia.
  4. The "double barrel 12-gauge Stevensshotgun having a barrel less than 18 inches in length, bearing identification number 76230," was never used in any militia organization.

Wow that’s a total bull **** ruling. Didn’t know the background on the NFA ruling thanks. I think it’s even more over reach now than I did before.

Miller was killed before it was fully argued. So there’s still some argument on weather the tax could be applied to other weapons beyond SBR but the military weapons are protected

The only thing that’s a potential issue is how the the ATF and NFA have no set standards and classify weapons differently on a whim with no real oversight.
