Gun control debate (merged)

Apparently unlike you , i don’t read Huff post articles , I learned better a long time ago . I guess next you’ll be pulling videos and posting articles from TYT to back your claims . Unfortunately trying to pull off defending Huff post is something I thought would be beneath you . I overestimated how low your bar was set , I’ll readjust your “ Continuum “ .

Geez, stop digging.

A friend of mine in Nashville asked me how he and his friends can get a firearm and what they should buy. 2A types should be happy, these are hard core liberals and LGBTQ folks wanting to arm up to protect themselves from "conservatives and Trump supporters". Don't give me ****, that is what they said.

Sounds like a .22 is what they’re looking for.

I always recommend taking a weapons course and firing as many weapons to find out what is comfortable to them and them. For instance, when my wife decided to get a Concealed Weapons License, I set her up with an instructor I know and let her figure out what she liked and felt secure carrying. Not saying you didn't do this.

Why would they ask a non firearm person what they should buy for PP ? I’m not trying to be an azzz , but that’s like me asking the bus driver what type of PPE I need when I climb up my power pole to check the out the humming noise coming from the transformer . I don’t care what party they are from or their preferences, everyone has a 2a right . I would suggest , before I trust my life to a firearm they do some research and put in some trigger time . We said it on here 100 times .. it’s not a gun thing it’s a people thing . Tell them not to be that Karen in St. Louis waving her pistol around in the air like it’s a corn dog , that won’t help anyone .

Not sure why you label me as such, but okay.

I didn’t label you , you did . Didn’t you say you don’t know much about firearms ? I mean your post said “ 2a types “ in reference to people in this thread . 🤷‍♂️
I'm not a freedom warrior that can list every form of firearm ever created, but I do know some things. This is exactly why they asked me about it. I'm not a "2a type", as in being condescending or a person that thinks one should own a grenade launcher.

If it's just for in and around the house, pump action shot gun. They can go to an indoor range and shoot different gauges to figure out what they are comfortable with although 12 is the most common. If they want to carry and have never owned a firearm, they should take a an intro to handguns class and figure out what they like, then take the permit carry class.

Tell them to get training. they shouldn’t buy anything without first getting some instruction on use and most importantly safety.

If they’re looking to protect themselves from “conservatives and Trump supporters” then they should buy a couple AR’s chambered in 300 AAC blackout, a Henry 45-70, a 12-gauge shotgun, 1911 Colt, Glock 17, etc.

Your friends should also buy a couple Harley Davidson soft tails and a Ford F-250 modified to roll coal.

Yes, I’m giving you **** because your friends are worried about the wrong people.
