Gun control debate (merged)

Wrong again. They shot the criminal because he was breaking into a house and when they chased him he tried to fight them and tried to grab their gun. Self defense is pretty clear

You need to stop telling anyone they are wrong. You're not even getting the facts right, they did NOT witness him breaking into a house, they saw him running down the street and assumed he did that. And you guys need to get on the same page with this s*** and stop changing your stance when it suits which side you want to support. You don't have a right to make yourself a cop and chase down people you THINK are criminals. And what about the dead person's right to defend HIMSELF. If you leave your house and start threatening someone with no idea if they are what you think, then sorry you can't be blanketly covered by "self defense". Also if I'm the victim in this situation and you show up with a gun threatening me, I sure as hell as going to defend myself because you're apparently a crazy mfer.

ROFL...."self defense is clear"...."Hey my redneck ass ran out of my house because I wanted to play cop even though I didn't have a f***in clue what I was doing and threw myself into a situation against an unarmed man, but clearly I'm the victim here!" ROFL ***.

I’m my parents house as a 10th grade aged child I caught someone in my house. Chased them out the front didn’t with a 12 ga while yelling for my father who was close behind. I shut the front door behind the criminal and waited on the police. Because I had been trained by my father what to do before hand.
like you said none of us were there but in my mind....as a gun guy.....guns are to defend your life. Once that threat is over it’s the police’s problem.

And this is exactly the right answer.

The DA said as much, and said it obviously cleared any type of criminal issue

Not so fast. Just saw a letter from the 3rd DA. He intends to present the case to a Grand Jury when the courts reconvene...likely in June or July.

And I've seen the video. It's not good.

So, we'll see where it goes from here.

In his defense, I suspect that I sit a lot closer to the campfire than Ricky does on this one.

I don't care; he started declaring things as fact and doubled down, stating things he clearly had no clue about. Hell if he ever shows back up in here, my bet is he STILL claims this proves self-defense.

And doesn't this guy claim to be a cop? That really makes me smh.

Don’t forget screw drivers and other dangerous hand tools!

Winston Churchill is rolling over in his grave.
I got to think it makes the population less adept.

Handling sharp objects, or basic tools, is a learned skill. And that is being removed from them. All it does is make them more dependent and more vulnerable to accidents. That's a key learned motor skill.

I dont see how they are so blind to what the nanny state means to their own physical development.

Then you think about all the common sense safety lessons they arent going to be learning or teaching. I am unpacking and have been walking around with scissors or a knife pretty often. And I unconsciously always hold it down when I am not using it.

anyone a fan of system of a down or bored uses for "weapons of war" should watch that for a cheap laugh. skip to about sec 35.

not sure if this was actually done during the lock down but I blame it anyway.
