Iāve seen you ask this question a variety of ways now. What is the answer you are looking to bring into the conversation?Ok, so why are other countries so much better? Do their imaginary lines not matter too, or is that inconvenient?
So itās shocking that more things happen where the most people live? Come on now, I expected better from YOU this time. Are we the only country with large metro areas? Absolutely not obviously, in fact, itās quite the opposite.
Also, are you suggesting that most most violence is occurring in the most populated areas (still feels weird that this isnāt intuitive to most people, but ok) that this isnāt an American problem? It happens in America, but not the part of America that you live in so itās not your problem? Is that what Iām hearing from this crowd?
I checked and you are correct. For some reason I had it in my head I had to get a license to hunt my property. I've been waiting to hunt a big old gobbler behind the house. No worries now.
Be careful hunting deer and turkey on your own land without a license . Make sure you qualify and have met the requirements. I also think you still have to hunt any game in season .
Yes, you have to go by the regulations as far as seasons, baglimits etc. I looked and I own the property with my wife, solely. Evidently if it's joint ownership outside the immediate family, you have to have the license. Turkey season is upon us though so I should be good to go.Be careful hunting deer and turkey on your own land without a license . Make sure you qualify and have met the requirements. On another note, I have/had a pesky groundhog down around my barn. It's been digging under the foundations of two buildings. The guy's been clever though. Every time I've seen him before I could grab my gun, he would take off.
Yesterday, I saw him. Went straight into the house and grabbed my AR that I specifically assembled to take out coyotes from long distances. Ginormous Vortex scope. Snuck out the back door, used a large Bradford pear as cover and got into the prone position. I had racked the bolt before walking out the door, loading a Hornaday Varmit Express round into the chamber. I took aim and settled myself for about an 150 yard shot. I placed the crosshairs right about the neck area as he stood up to look around. I gently squeezed the Geisely SSA. Nothing but a click. Ejected the round, saw no dimple in the primer. Removed the bolt and inspected the firing pin. Everything looked good. I chambered another round thinking the bolt at not have been seated. Still nothing but a click.
Went back in the house, grabbed another bolt carrier group out of another AR and grabbed some Winchester Varmit ammo just in case. Groundhog is still cooperating. (By the way, crawling around on hands and knees and belly crawling is not as easy as it used to be). I put the new BCG in the upper receiver, chambered another Hornaday round, steadied myself again, and click. Now I'm befuddled.
I thought it must be the Hornaday stuff. I removed the mag and cycled the bolt. This time the round didn't eject. I had to turn the gun barrel up for the round to fall out. I then compared the Hornaday to the Winchester. The Hornady round obviously differed slightly from the Winchester. My old eyes wouldn't focus enough on the back of the cartridge to read it so I decided to figure out that puzzle later.
Meanwhile, the groundhog was doing his part by staying put. I go ahead and load a couple of rounds into my 30 round mag (who needs a 30 round mag anyway. Am I right?) Chamber a Winchester round. Barrel roll from behind the tree into a prone position. Take steady aim. Gently squeeze that 100% awesome trigger), and boom! Groundhog never knew what hit him. Perfect shot to the neck. Groundhog down!
What was with the Hornady ammo, you ask? Upon further inspection evidently Remington made/makes rifles that use the 222 Remington. I swear I've looked at that box a dozen times and never noticed I purchased the wrong ammo.
Prove to us that people arenāt the problem when the majority of gun deaths in the US by a long shot are suicide not homicide. You conveniently keep ignoring that in your diatribe.
And I also showed you data illustrating that homicide in the US is largely unchanged for the last 100+ years.
Seriously what the hell have you actually got?
It does me , it shows just how stupid people can be when they are packed into urban cities . We should definitely try do something about that . I suggest better leadership , fix the underlying problems , raise the community standards and Iāll bet the farm the gun violence goes down .![]()
Yes I do. And Iām pointing out that you continually leave them out. Our homicide rate is mostly constant for over a hundred years and suicides dominate gun deaths in America.Wait, do you not know the difference between a suicide and a homicide? Because what I showed you didnāt include suicides.

Those countries removed firearms?
Those countries restricted access?
A combination?
Something else?
