Gun control debate (merged)

Ordering something online and having it delivered to your home is demonstrably easier than having to leave your home and travel to another location to receive it. And for those who live farther from the location in question (an FFL dealer) the difference becomes greater.

Demonstrably easier? Come on. Be serious if you want a serious conversation.

Still less information required for most OOS hunting licenses, especially in western states. How many questions on that form are verified... or even relevant?
How many fishing license forms come with a felony penalty for lying. And now an out of state license purchase has become the normal case for comparison in buying a hunting/fishing license. You suck at cherry picking scenarios.

You can't have this discussion without involving the government.

Ok, you also can’t have it without comparing it to times when hunting wasn’t regulated. So, what happened before hunting regulations? To bison, to elk, to turkeys, to the North American antelope species?

Why do you think so many people prefer online shopping?

Because it is easier than going to the store.

I buy almost everything online these days. Including guns (if I ever decided to buy one) and have them shipped to my office.

Lol ok buddy. Sorry to hurt your little feelings.

Last month I bought a gun at Dunham’s, it took less than 15 min door to door. I also bought multiple hunting licenses for multiple states. One was online out of state and it took 20ish min, then I bought an in-state license in store. That took 15 minutes door to door. It’s unbelievably easy to do both. The most complex process was actually applying for an out of state hunting license, not purchasing a gun. I was asked for much more information for the license than I was for the gun. There was maybe 3 simple questions to purchase the gun if I remember correctly... all of which I could easily have lied about. Purchasing the OOS license I had to provide DL #, proof of hunters safety course, ect.

Again, if that hurts your feelings, go ahead and lash out as you see fit.

Sounds like your beef is with the government making it so difficult to buy a hunting license. I'm not sure what gun buying has to do with it.

Again, Mr FFL, what mechanisms doe we have en mass to verify the information on that form?

You think if they did away with licenses it would lead to over-hunting those animals now?

He exaggerated a little, it takes 5 minutes to fill out the form.
3 questions? And then how long do you have to wait to get background checked? That depends on the volume at the time of purchase. During last month's crush, some took up to 5 hours if you even got through.

And if you live in California, it takes 10 days. I'd say that is far more complicated than an OSS fishing license.

I dont recall any of them going extinct.
